Summer Sun

Our challenge this time at Di’s Digi Stamps is Summer Sun. For my card I choose Summer Sun Mouse, a perfect image for a summer beach scene!

Such a great image to color. I first wanted to create my background so I carefully used some stencils to create the background by using some masking paper I had on hand.

I then colored my image using my Copic markers. I added a few shadows with a black Prismacolor pencil and some Gamsol, just to deepen some shadows.

I added some sparkle to the sand with my Sand AtYou Spica glitter pen. I wanted a little more sparkle, so I went over the sand with my Nuvo Clear Glitter Gloss. It doesn’t photo very well.

I had some pattern paper with sun images, so I mounted my scene on the pattern paper and then onto my card base. I added a small shell from my large shell collection to complete my card. I have not added a sentiment as I am adding this card to my stash. I can quickly add a sentiment when I need a quick card.

Come join the fun at Di’s Digi Challenge. We would love to see your projects!
