Ink Resist Technique Tutorial with Gina K Master Layouts | Lovely Lace Stamp Set

I have another easy card to share using ink resist. This card was also inspired by a Gina K design.

Here is my process:

I first cut a panel using Master Layouts #2 from white cardstock. I cut a mat from black cardstock using the same Master Layouts #2. Master Layouts from Gina K are dies that cut different shapes that work well together to create a card. I have several of them and find that they have been very helpful in creating my card fronts.

I inked up the smaller image from the Lovely Lace stamp set using VersaMark ink and then flipped my panel and did the same to the opposite end.

I added silver embossing powder and used my heat tool to melt the embossing powder.

After letting the embossing cool, I started from the center of my image applying ink over the embossed design. I applied a heavier amount of ink around my image and used a lighter hand so the ink appears lighter around the outside of my image.

I then adhered my colored panel to the black mat that I had previously cut. I then added my panel to a Wild Lilac card base.

Once I had the ink applied to my panel, I cut two strips, one in white and one in black, again using Master Layouts #14.

On the white strip, I stamped my sentiment in VersaMark ink.

I again added silver embossing powder and heat set the powder with my heat tool.

I adhered my white sentiment strip to the black panel and then centered the sentiment between my embossed design on the card panel.

I added some dark purple pearls from my stash to the centers of the flowers to complete my card.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
