My card today features several different layering stencils. This is my take on a card inspired by Gina K. Combining different stencils not only makes good use of your supplies but can also create a fun card. Today’s card is a 5 X 7 card instead of my normal A2 size. This allows me to use more stencils.

My stenciling process:
Before I started my stenciling, I masked off 1/8″ around my card panel. This will give me a nice clean white border once I am done with my stenciling. I then started the stenciling process. I started with my Tranquil Lotus stencils toward the lower part of my card.
Once I had completed adding the ink to all of the Tranquil Lotus stencils, I positioned the flowers of the Layered Carnations so that they would be around and higher than the flowers I had already added. When I added the layer for the stems and also the leaves, I avoided adding ink where they intersected with the Tranquil Lotus flowers.

I repeated the same process when I added the Perfect Poppies and Bodacious Blooms stencils. Once I had all of my flowers and their stems and leaves added, I went back to the stems and leaves from the Layered Carnations, Perfect Poppies and Tranquil Lotus stencils to extend the leaves and stems for each of the flowers, making sure to avoid any of the images I had already stenciled. I used some sticky notes to cover the parts of the image I didn’t want to color over.
Once I had all of my stenciling complete, I used Sea Glass ink to ink around the outside of my image making sure I went over the masking magic strips. Once I removed the masking magic strips, this left the clean white border.
I cut a piece of black cardstock to mount my panel on before placing it on an Ocean Mist card base.
For my sentiment:
I stamped it first in Sea Glass ink and then in VersaMark Watermark ink so I could heat emboss it to give it a raised and shiny appearance.

To finish my card:
I added some sequins from my stash in a couple of different colors.
This was a fun and easy card to put together. It is very easy to do. Any floral stencils would work and you could even use the same stencil multiple times to create a bouquet of flowers.

Thanks Pam! I have been using a lot of stencils lately! A little faster in coloring than using my Copics!
