Birthday Greetings

My card today is another take on one of Gina K’s cards.

When embossing the single-sided cardstock from Gina K’s Watercolor Floral pattern paper pack, the white core of the paper becomes visible in some areas on the front due to the embossing process. I trimmed the piece down using Master Layouts 2 and cut a shadow piece from some black onyx cardstock.

For my focal image, I die cut Bird Cage from some silver cardstock. To decorate the bird cage, I used images from Vintage Summer stamp and die set. I colored the images using my Copic markers.

My sentiment is from Fancy Phrases stamped in Lucky Clover ink and cut out using the flag die from Master Layouts 04. I created a small floral arrangement at the bottom of the bird cage and added the butterfly to the top. I added a few small pearls to the front of the card.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
