A Little Fishing Birthday

It seems like the at the beginning of the year we have a lot of masculine birthdays in our family. For my card this time, I used Fishing Squidgy from Stamping Bella for another nephew’s card. He loves to fish so I thought this image would be perfect.

After stamping the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I colored the image with my Copic markers. I don’t have a die for this image, so I “fussy cut” the image out. I had another shaving cream background that I had created and thought it would make a great background for the image.

I wanted to create a scene so I cut a small strip of paper and used the Wooden Planks embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp to create a dock for my fisherman to stand on. I popped the fisherman up on the dock using some foam tape. I thought it needed a little something more so I used an image from Time to Coast from Gina K to finish off my scene. I stamped that image using Rich Cocoa Memento ink and added some additional coloring with some Copic markers and brown colored pencils. My sentiment is from another Gina K stamp set, Birthday Blessings. I heat embossed it using some Black VersaFine ink and clear embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
