Racoon Cupcake

Out challenge this time at Di’s Digi Challenge is use a digital element. For my card, I used Di’s Racoon Cupcake. I am always in need of birthday cards so this was a great image for the front of my card.

I colored the image using my Copic markers. I added her eyes back in using a black glaze pen with some details using my white gel pen.

After coloring the image, I used my Scan N Cut to cut her out leaving a small border around the image.

This is just the cutest image!

For my background, I decided to use an older technique that Jennifer McGuire showed using some of your sentiments to create a background. I inked up a number of my sentiments for birthdays and stamped the background.

I wanted to add some color to my background so I die cut a balloon and used the negative to ink some balloons over the sentiments on the background. Once I had the inking done, I popped my image up using some foam tape. I wanted a little sparkle so I added some sequins from my stash.

And one final look……

We hope you will join us at Di’s Digi Challenge! We would love to see your projects!

  1. Nancee, you did an amazing job! Raccoons are my daughter’s favorite animal. She calls them her “spirt animal” and she would absolutely love this card. I love how you did the sentiments throughout as well. Great job!
