Birthday Suprise

When I am making masculine cards, I seem to always struggle to find the perfect image. Gnomes always seem to win out. Birthday Surprise from Polkadoodles is a great image that works well for any birthday card.

This is a digital image so I could resize it to fit my card. I used my Copics to color this image and have listed those at the bottom of my post.

I added the HBD to the flag and dots to the bow with a white gel pen. I cut the image out using My Favorite Things Elegant Rectangle Stax. I cut the rectangle out three times from white cardstock so I could have some dimension for the image. The sentiment is Simon Says Stamp die Happy Birthday is cut from Simon Says Stamp Black Glossy Cardstock.

I’m still experimenting with my Glimmer Hot Foil Machine and decided to try using it for a background. I used the Diagonal Stripes by Pink Fresh Studios. I actual used the reverse foiling. I foiled the background and then used the left over foil to create this background. No waste!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Crafting!
