Happy Birthday!

My grandson recently celebrated his 7th birthday. I can’t believe he is seven already! I choose this adorable image, Grant from Whimsy Stamps. It is a digital stamp which is great as you can resize it to fit your card.

I colored the image using my Copics, which I have listed at the end of my post. It was a fun image to color!

I added some Glossy Accents to the balloons to give them some shine. I also added white gel pen to the birthday present’s ribbon. I recently purchased the Layered Cupcakes Stencil from Pretty Pink Posh. There are three stencils in this set, one for the papers, one for the icing, and one for the toppings. I decided to use several different ink pads to create many different colored cupcakes for my background. I used Stampin Up (Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip [no longer available]); WPlus9 (Falling Star); Gina K (Wild Dandelion); and Simon Says Stamp (Tidepool, Aegean, Seafoam, Ocean, Marine, and Cadette).

I created my sentiment using my Glimmer Hot Foil System from Spellbinders. I used the Fancy Script Words and Dies by Pink Fresh Studio. I first foiled the sentiment, and then used the left over foil to create the reverse sentiment. I really like that you can use the left over foil so there is very little waste! My last addition was the number “7” from the Stitched Numbers die set by My Favorite Things.

This was a fun card to make! I don’t use stencils very often but this one is adorable and great for birthday cards!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Crafting!
