Another of my great-nephews turned 5 in January, so I needed a “little” boy card. Who doesn’t like dragons?

I used some dragon images from My Favorite Things Magical Dragons with some Memento Black ink on some kraft card stock and colored the images with my Polychromos. I added some sparkle that doesn’t show up in the photos using At You Spick pens in Orange, Sand, and Chocolate. I added the eyes and nose openings with a black glaze pen and a dot of white with my Signo White Gel Pen. At first, I was going to create a scene with the dragons on the card stock, but changed my mind. After coloring the images, I fussy cut them out…and again, forgot I had the dies! LOL!

The stamp set has a smaller dragon stamp, so I decided to create a strip of background paper with the smaller dragon. I stamped it on some dark blue cardstock I had on hand. I added a few sequins from Simon Says Stamp Frosty Pine. The image is from the same My Favorite Things stamp set. I heat embossed it using some Copper embossing powder I had on hand.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Wonderful, I am too chicken to try a full pencil coloring. I do like to add Prismas to my Copics though. Any blending tips?

Thank you! I use many very light layers and always go from dark to light when coloring. I keep adding layers until I am happy with the blending. Hope this helps!

Do you use gamsol or any thing like that?

I don’t use Gamsol or baby oil, just the pencils to blend.

I keep most of my dies in a separate area sorted by type. I forgot that when I purchase dies for a specific stamp set, I keep them in the same pouch as the stamps. If I only had turned over my pouch! LOL! There is always the next time!
