Two Gnomes on a Log

I am back to making birthday cards….and with my large family, that keeps me busy all year long. This is a card I made for one of my great-nephews. I needed a card that was masculine, and not to “young” for him. I thought this image, Two Gnomes On A Log from Stamping Bella would make a great birthday card for him. What is more fun that flying down a snowy hill in the winter!

I stamped my image in Memento Black ink and then colored the image with my Copic markers.

I used one of the Stitched Slopes and Hills dies from Simon Says Stamp to partially cut around the bottom of the image and fussy cut around the top part of the image. (I realized I had the die for this image after I had completed the fussy cutting!) LOL!

I created the background by using trees from the Gina K You Warm My Heart Stamp set. I ink blended the sky (but neglected to write down the colors I used). I added some foam tape behind my image and hill to pop them up a bit.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, Best Ever. I inked it up using Bermuda Bay ink from Stampin Up and used an old punch from Stampin Up to cut the sentiment out. I mounted my scene on some black cardstock and then adhered it to a Tranquil Teal card base form Gina K. I added some snow flurries using my Signo White Gel pen.

This was a fun card to make!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
