I have been so busy lately making birthday cards for my rather large family that I haven’t had time to post any of them here on my blog.
This was a fun card to make. One of my brother-in-laws had a birthday recently and loves to take a ride on his motorcycle. I searched for an image that would work and came across this image, Cockatoo Rules, at Paper Shelter and thought it would be perfect!
I used my Copics to color him up. I have listed the colors I used at the bottom of this post.
I wanted to create a “scene” for Cockatoo, so decided to add some hills in the background and a lovely blue sky. I just cut a piece of card stock and then added some different distress greens to create the hills. I did the same with the blues to create my sky.
I wanted to give Cockatoo some pop, so I added an action wobble to the back of him before adding him to the card. I had some puffy stickers that I thought worked well for the sun and Cockatoo’s comment. I used Simon Says Stamp‘s Brush Stroke Messages for the Happy Birthday. A few Nuvo drops in Oyster Grey and Woodland Green and my card was complete.
I enjoyed making this card and really liked how it turned out.
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Crafting!
