Well, I’m back to birthday cards. I needed a card for by niece and found this adorable image at Polkadoodles. Helga Hippo Bring the Cake is her name. She is so cute! I knew I just had to color her!
I used my Copics to color her and have listed the colors at the bottom of this post. I had so much fun coloring her!
After coloring her, I cut her out using an oval die. I added some fun foam to the back to pop her up a bit. My background paper is also from Polkadoodles, from the Helga collection. What great paper for the background!
I added a bit of lace to the background before adding my image to the card. A few Nuvo drops in Caribbean Ocean and Sweet Lilac added a little more interest. My sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, Stroke Messages.
What a fun image! I’m sure I’ll be using a few more of the Helga images as there are some really cute ones!
