My two Great-Nieces both have birthdays in February, just a few days apart. Both live in Florida, so I wanted something “beachy” for one of their birthdays. I loved this image from Whimsy Stamps, Lexi’s Beach Ball and thought it would be perfect.
I colored the image using my Copic markers and have listed the colors I used at the bottom of my post. I added the polk-a-dots using my white gel pen.
After coloring the image, I cut it out using the Large Stitched Rectangles from Lawn Fawn. I then cut a mat using one of the dies from the My Favorite Things Blueprints 20 (I don’t think this one is available anymore, but Blueprints 27 is close). I added some pattern paper behind my mat and some colored card stock and adhered the image to my card base.
My sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, Brush Stroke Messages, and used another one of the dies from the Blueprints 20 die set to cut it out. I added some fun foam to the back to pop it up a bit on my card.
I added some Crushed Grape and Sweet Lilac Nuvo drops to the front to finish my card.
Thanks for stopping by!
