Penguin Prima Ballerina Bella

Another birthday card to share today.  This one is a digital image from Whimsy Stamps, Penguin Prima Ballerina Bella.  I thought she was just adorable and would make a great birthday card for my Great Niece.

I used my Prismacolor Pencils to color her up and have listed the colors I used at the bottom of this post.

After coloring her, I cut her out using an older die that I had.  I used Memory Box Wrapped Stitched Rectangles and an older die I had to cut some patterned paper that I had in my stash.  The background paper is some digital paper from We Are 3.

I popped my image up using some fun foam and then added her to my card front.  Of course, I felt it needed a little something more, so I added some Nuvo drops in Purple Rain and Crushed Grape.  My sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps, Brush Stroke Messages.

  1. So sweet and beautifully colored Nancee! I finally ordered some color pencils last week… I went with Caran d’Ache Pablo…well, they came and the tin was dented in the center of the lid and one of the blender pencils was broken in the pack!!! grrr So I returned them. Who knows what happened to them. So now…order again as soon as the money is back in my account and wait and hope they have the smarts to at least use bubble wrap this time!!!

What a fabulous card Nancee! I LOVE this one. It’s so girly and feminine and would work for a child or an adult.
I LOVE the patchwork behind the image. It brings everything together in such an incredible way.
