Once again, I was on the hunt for a masculine image for a birthday card. I found this image at Sheri Baldy Besties Shop on Etsy. Birthday Boy Bestie is so cute. The image actually has a dog sitting next to him, but since the I was mailing this to my nephew who has a cat, I trimmed the image around the dog.

I love those big eyes! I colored him using my Copic markers. I have listed the colors at the bottom of my post. I was really happy with the way he turned out.

After trimming him out, I pulled several papers from my stash. I cut out the rectangles using My Favorite Things Large Stitched Rectangles and then distressed the edges of the papers. After laying the background papers, I attached my image.

I stamped the “Happy Birthday” from the Simon Says Stamp Brush Strokes Messages stamp set with some green ink and used clear embossing powder over the ink. I mounted the sentiment using some foam dots. And of course, I added some Nuvo Drops in Bottle Green, English Mustard, and Midnight Blue to finish my card. I was really happy with how this card turned out.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
