Gilmore Girls!

I was recently asked if I could make a special birthday card with a “Gilmore Girls” theme.  Of course I said I could…but then I had to do a little research because I had never seen “Gilmore Girls“.  Of course, now I’m hooked on that show!

I turned to my Stamping Bella stamps and thought that Uptown Girls Clarissa and Camille Share a Cafe would make a great card.  I wanted to change the look of the design on the coffee cup, so I masked off the middle and used a small stamp I had on hand to stamp the flowers on the coffee cup.

I colored the image using my Copics (colors listed at the bottom of my post).

For the background, I searched for some yellow daisy background paper and found some on Etsy.  I used the sentiment from another Stamping Bella die set, Tiny Towne Birthday Party and created the “Gilmore Girls” sentiment on the computer.  I didn’t have a die long enough to cut out my sentiments, so I used a die from the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2 by My Favorite Things.  I used the same die on the stamped sentiment.  I used some foam tape to pop the sentiments up.

After assembling my card, I of course, had to add some Nuvo Drops.  I used Aquatic Mist and Ivory Seashell.  I was happy with the way it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Crafting!
