Daisy Squidgy

It has been a few days since I have shared a card.  It is getting close to my busy “birthday” season for my family…June, July, and August are BIG months for birthdays.  I was asked to make four cards recently for a fundraiser for the mother of a friend who is battling cancer.  This is the first of the four cards I made for the silent auction.

Daisy Squidgy by Stamping Bella is a cutie.  She can be used for so many different cards.  I choose to make a birthday card using her.

I used my Copics to color her and have listed the colors I used at the bottom of this post.

I used the matching die to cut her out and also cut some fun foam using the same die so that I could pop her up.  I added some glossy accents to the center of the flower to give it some shine.

I used a simple oval to cut some patterned paper, and then a simple rectangle out of some other paper I had on had.  I mounted them on a piece of light blue card stock.

I cut out the Happy Birthday using a die from Simon Says Stamp.  Before I cut it out, I added some double sided tape to the back of my card stock to make it easier to attach to the front of my card.  I then ran the card stock through my Big Shot to cut out the Happy Birthday.  I left the cut out words in the die, and using my embossing pad, ran it through my Big Shot to adhere it to the card stock.  Once I did that, I simply removed the die and the cut out Happy Birthday was adhered to the front of my card.  This was something I had seen Pam Sparks do many times and it looked so easy!  And it was easy!

To finish my card, I added some Dazzling Blue Nuvo Crystal Drops.
