Wow, I haven’t posted for quite a few days…I need to catch up! I had such a great plan for this year to keep up with regular posts…that seems to have been “misplaced”! LOL! I seem to have forgotten how many birthdays are in my family! Starting with January 30th, then February 1, 3, 8, 9, 10, 14, and 21! And that doesn’t even count Valentine’s Day! And yes, we do have a Valentine’s Birthday in our family! Love my large family, but I wish they would have spread some of these birthdays out a little bit! LOL!
Today’s card is of course a birthday card. This one is another masculine card. The images are from the Birthday Wishes stamp set from Art Impressions. I’ve used these images for another card recently, however on that card, I used the images on the inside of the card. You can see that card on this post https://nanceecrafttime.blog/2017/01/06/happy-25th-birthday/. Today, I used that image on the front of the card. I decided to use my Polychromo pencils to color the image today.
I did some masking on the front of the card, first stamping the focal image and then masking him off so I could add the balloons and confetti around him. I haven’t done a lot of masking in the past, but was very happy with the results.
Since the image had a lot of details, I wanted to keep the rest of the card pretty simple. After coloring my image, I trimmed it down and adhered it to some blue cardstock and then added it to the front of my card. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.
Once I was done, I of course had to add some Nuvo Crystal Drops, this time in Woodland Green. I just love these!
