Day 30! I Made It!

Day 30! I made it!  I am so happy that I was able to color every day!  What a great challenge this was.   I have always gone in my craft room after dinner, but was always slow to get started on my crafting.  I wanted to catch up on my emails, or visit my friends on Facebook, and before I knew it, I had about an hour before I needed to get to bed.  Needless to say, not a lot got done unless I was on a deadline.  I have very few cards made up in advance, so I was always scrambling to get a card made.

I feel so much better now that I have a stash of images made up.  Now all I have to do is turn them into cards!  I’m thinking that I’m going to challenge myself to color an image every day in January…to get a head start on next year’s birthdays, holidays, etc.  I’m going to always try to color at least three images a week from now on.  I’m still going to read my emails and visit my blogging friends, but maybe limit my time each night.  I may be a little slower in responding to some emails or visiting blogs, but maybe I can get into a routine and be able to get everything done!  I sure hope so!

Here is my image for the final day of the coloring challenge.  This is another image that I previously colored.  The first time, I used my Copics.  This time, I used my Prismacolor colored pencils.  Hmm…I started with my colored pencils, and my last image is done in colored pencils.

I’ve started to catch up on my emails and blog visits tonight after finishing my image, but I still have a lot to catch up on!  It’s been a busy month.  My birthday, my daughter’s birthday, Thanksgiving, and my sister’s visit.  I’m sure December will be just as busy with the holidays.

Well, I need to catch up on some sleep…work comes early in the morning!

Happy Crafting and Coloring!  Hopefully I will have some cards to share in the very near future!

Thanks for stopping by!

Adorable as always! I love your beautiful shading and choice of colours. What medium do you use your Copics on? I’m thinking of trying alcohol-based markers but don’t know much about them!

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I used Copic markers, which are alcohol based markers. I use Neenah 80# Solar White paper when I am coloring with my Copics. I took a class on the basics of using Copics and then taught my self (with a lot of practice) some of the different techniques. I highly recommend taking at least a beginner class when you first start out using Copics. I will warn you, they are addictive! LOL! Thanks for asking!

Thank you! Great advice. I found some marker paper that does the trick, and I’ll be sure to do lots of practice. 🙂

A perfect image to finish with! I suggest you reward yourself with a nice glass of something! Your new ‘regime’ sounds very sensible. I think I might need to take a leaf out of your book!
