A Little Crafting Time

Day 24!  Even after cooking most of the day, enjoying family over for dinner, and cleaning up, I still made time to color today!  Yeah!  I just might make it 30 days!!  I must admit, it has become a habit!  I have started to get the feeling that my day is not complete unless I color an image.  Oh my!

They day today went pretty well…no mishaps like last year!  LOL!  Last year I made my pies the night before Thanksgiving.  My sister was here for Thanksgiving last year.  We had a few glasses of wine, and then started the preparations for the next day’s dinner.  We thought we were doing so well!  The next morning (Thanksgiving Day), I got up early to get the turkey in the roaster.  I moved the pies to my laundry room and put them on top of my washing machine as it was about the only space I had left for putting food.  I went back into the kitchen and began working again.  I quickly put a load of wash in the washing machine.  My sister and I decided to have a glass of wine (or two or three!) while we worked on preparing more of the food.  We suddenly heard a “thud”…well, it seems that the washer was not too happy to have a pie resting on top…so it threw it off!  Oh my!

Well, needless to say, there was a quick trip to the store for more pie ingredients and another pie was made.  We still laugh about it every time I make a pie.  I no longer put them on the washer…even if I’m not going to do a load of laundry!  Not taking that chance anymore!  LOL!

Well, it’s off to get some shut eye…another busy day tomorrow with my sister arriving.  I’m sure the next 5 days will be filled with fun, a lot of laughter, good food, and lots of wine.
