Birthdays, birthdays, birthday! I have 14 family members with birthdays in July and August. Phew! I have a lot of cards to get made! LOL! That’s what you get when you have a large family. Gotta love them all!
The first birthday card is for one of my brothers-in-laws. I choose Tim Holz Crazy Birds, Crazy Talk, and Crazy Things to create my card.
I did a lot of masking on this card. This was the first time I had used my Copics on Neenah Desert Storm paper. I liked the way it turned out. I had used colored pencils before, but never Copics. I had seen some cards done by Julia Altemann. She gave some good tips, like letting the Copics dry a little bit as the color will be different on kraft paper than it is on white paper.
After coloring the birds, I added some Glossy Accents to their beaks and parts of their hats to add some interest. I then added some wiggle eyes to two of the birds.
And one final look…
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Crafting!
