Magnolias For Her

I just love springtime!  Flowers begin to bloom, trees begin to have leaves, the birds singing, the fresh air!  My card today is made with a stamp set from Altenew, Magnolias For Her.

I had seen some other crafters use colored pencils over their Copic markers and decided to give it a try.  I put the base coat on the flower with my Copics and did a little bit of the shading with my Copics.  I then added more details using my Prismacolor Premier pencils.  I really liked the effect it gave to the flowers.

A close up of the Magnolias…

I stamped the image using a light colored ink so that I wouldn’t have the heavy black outlines.  By using my Copics with the pencils, the lines from the stamp almost disappeared.

I used a new stamp set from Simon Says Stamp for the birthday sentiment.  I stamped it using Versa Mark Ink and then used some silver embossing powder from Gina K.  I really liked the embossing powder.

Some droplets from Pretty Pink Posh give the appearance of some rain drops.  I layered the stamped image on card stock and then added some fun foam to the back to pop the panel up.

One final look…
