Happy Birthday Dad!

Another August birthday card.  My Dad turned 79 this year.  He used to love to fish, so I wanted to make a card with something to do with fishing.  I found this digital image at Just Ink Lined and thought it would make a perfect card for him.

Here is what I came up…..

I used Copic markers to color the image.  I used a new Spellbinders die that I had recently purchased to cut it out.

I used another die from the same set to cut out the sentimate.  I used distress ink to shade the edges of the paper.  The background stamp is from Stampin Up.  I really like it as a background stamp.  It seems to fit with just about any kind of card.

The ribbon is from my stash, as is the paper.  I used a combination of products for this card, but unfortunately did not write them down.  (As always, I was in a hurry to get this card done and in the mail!  LOL!)

And one last look………..

I appreciate all of your comments and enjoying reading them!  Thanks for stopping by! Happy Summer!  🙂
