My card today is a 5 X 7 waterfall card. I have seen several YouTube videos on how to make a waterfall card. I don’t remember the exact one that I followed to make my card but there are several good videos on the process. I made one a month ago, but forgot to take photos of it before I sent it off to it’s recipient. This post has quite a few photos and a short video of the completed card.

- I cut 5 pieces of cardstock measuring 2 3/4″ X 2 3/4″ and 5 pieces of colored cardstock measuring 3″ X 3″.
- I then cut a piece of cardstock measuring 11″ X 2″ and scored it at 2 1/2″, 3″, 3 1/2″, 4″, 4 1/2″ and 5″. This piece is the “mechanism” for the waterfall feature.
- On each of the five small pieces, I stamped my images.
- I wanted to create some backgrounds on the pieces, so I also stamped the images on some masking paper and cut them out.
- I applied the masks over my stamped images and started creating my little “scenes”.

- I used several different techniques to create different backgrounds for each of the five different scenes that I was creating.
- For the first one, I used a stencil to create a sky for the elephant to be floating in.
- For the second and fourth one, I used a stamp and some embossing powder to create a shoreline and some inking to create the sandy beach.
- On the third one, I ink blended a sky with some grass to ground my elephant flying a kite.
- For my final piece, I again used a stencil to create some clouds and another stencil to create the ground with a tree.

Once I had my backgrounds completed, I removed the masks and colored the images with my Copic markers.

- My next step was to create my card base.
- I cut down a piece of cardstock to adhere to the front of my card.
- I stenciled some floating hearts in a light blue and then adhered it to the cardbase.
- For each of my little “scenes”, I stamped a greeting and added them to a mat.
- On the mechanism, I stenciled some cupcakes and stamped a greeting.
- The next step was to glue each of the little scenes to the mechanism on the fold lines.
- Once I had them adhered, I added the “waterfall” to my cardbase.

The above photos are of each of the attached scenes to the mechanism and the mechanism itself.

On the inside of my card, I stamped and embossed my greeting. I then added some ink blending around the edges to make the panel stand out on the inside of my card.
The finished card!
