Create Stunning Cards with Waffle Flower’s Postage Collage

My card today features Waffle Flower’s Postage Collage dies and stamps as well as some ink blending. I saw a version of this card on their website and Instagram account. I used the same concept, but changed a few things for my card.

  • My first step was to use the Waffle Flowers Postage Collage Block die to create my “inner” panel for the “stamps”.
  • I then used the “stamp” die on both lemon yellow and powder blue cardstock.
  • I had an idea for a second card so the left over yellow and blue pieces will be used on a future card.

  • I used my scissors to cut apart the yellow and blue panels to create the “stamps.
  • I removed the white pieces from the die.
  • For the background, I selected a pink, yellow and light blue inks.
  • I laid the white pieces out matching the yellow or blue “stamps” behind the white pieces. This helped me determine what colors I would use in my ink blending.
  • On the three of the white pieces, I ink blended using Bubblegum Pink, Lemon Drop and Powder Blue inks.
  • I only used the yellow on three of the pieces and the other three pieces I used all three colors.
  • On the other three pieces, I only used the pink and blue inks to create my background.

  • Once I had my ink blending completed, I selected the stamps for each of the “stamps”.
  • I used VersaClair Nocturne ink to stamp all of the images.
  • On some of the “stamps”, I used a couple different images to complete the scene.
  • After stamping the images, I glued the images to their respective backgrounds.
  • I added some highlights with a white gel pen.
  • After arranging the “stamps” how I wanted them, I added some thin foam tape to the back of each “stamp” and adhered them to my card base.
  • My sentiment was stamped with the same VersaClair Nocturne ink.
  • Because the VersaClair ink is a pigment ink, I was able to add clear embossing powder over the sentiment and heat set it.
  • The sentiment has a matching die which I used to cut the sentiment out.

One final look……
