Embossed Card Tutorial: Creative Techniques for Crafting

This will just be a quick post today. This is another of those cards that I didn’t get posted in the fall. I made this card for Kristina Werner’s Mail Call with the challenge of using an embossing folder.

I embossed my card panel, but turned it over to the debossed side. I used a blending brush to add color to the raised portion of the panel. This leaves the debossed areas white.

For my focal point, I stamped some flowers from Altenew’s Beauty Within. I then used the coordinating stencil to color the image. Once the images were colored, I used the dies to cut them out. I adhered the flowers and leaves to the embossed panel using some foam squares to add some depth.

I stamped my sentiment and added some clear embossing powder before heat setting it. I used a circle die to cut it down. After adding some foam squares to the back, I added it to my card.

To finish it off, I added some small pearls on the leaves of the branch.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
