From Knitting to Baking: My Holiday Craft Journey

Where has the time gone? It has been several months since I have posted a card on my blog. It always seems like I get extremely busy from October to January with all the birthdays and the holidays.

I do a lot of holiday baking besides making all my Christmas cards. This year, I also knitted a couple of afghans as gifts. Hopefully in the next few days I will get back to a regular routine of making cards and creating the posts for those cards.

Here are some pictures of some of my “creating” over the past couple of months….

Knitting was my first “craft” that I learned when I was only 8 years old. I did a lot more knitting when we lived in Illinois, but not so much since our move to Florida.

I did a LOT of baking this year. I always create plates of cookies and candies for my neighbors along with my local family. I spent most of December baking and candy making. I have quite a few kinds that I always make, a couple of which have been passed down from my Grandmother. I tried several new recipes this year, most of which I will be making again in the future. If you would like any of the recipies, I would be happy to share them. Just send me an email and I can share it with you. I enjoy baking which gives me a break from always creating cards.

I hope to be back tomorrow or the next day with the first of my two Christmas cards I created this year. Yes, only two, but 60 of the first one and 15 of the second one.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
