Sympathy cards are never a card you want to make but as we get older they become needed more often. You don’t want your cards to be too festive or funny, but to express some heartfelt sorrow for the recipient’s loss.

To create my card, I used the same supplies and process as I did to make a birthday card here. (8/23)
I first used the oval mask and blended my inks starting with the lightest color and working my way up using the next darkest color making sure to overlap the colors to get a good blend.

Once I had my ink blending complete, I stamped the images letting some of the images overlap the white border around the ink blending.
Finally, I added my sentiment. I did not use any heat embossing on this card, but you could heat emboss the sentiment for a little different look.

Using the same background with different silhouette stamps such as flowers would also make a great card. You could also change the shape of the ink blending to give a different look. These types of cards could be used for any occasion, but do make great sympathy cards.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
