Delicate Flowers Birthday Card Crafting Process Without Foiling

Today’s card is similar to several other cards I have made; however, this card does not contain any foiling. I only used the stamp and die set for this card.

Like I usually do, I used Master Layouts #1 to cut a white panel and a black mat panel.

  • Once I had my white panel cut, I added Masking Magic strips around the outside to create the crisp white border and then added the panel to my Ultra Sticky Mat.
  • I added my stencil over the top of my panel and added some Soft Stone ink.
  • I removed the stencil and then without re-inking my blending brush, I went around the border to further define the white border created by the Masking Magic.
  • When I was done with the stenciling, I removed the Masking Magic and adhered my panel to the black mat and then added it to my cardstock.

For my focal images:

  • I stamped the images using my Stamping Wheel as I able to add my stamp the image twice knowing it would stamp in the same place.
  • I turned my paper 180 degrees and stamped the image on the same piece of white cardstock, again stamping the image twice for a clear crisp image.
  • I then added my cardstock to my Ultra Sticky mat and added color using the coordinating stencil.
  • I started with my lighter color and added a little darker color to the bottom of the flowers blending to get a smooth transition to the lighter color.
  • After completing the stenciling, I die cut the images. I cut three additional images for each stem so I could add them to the back of my colored images.

I adhered the images to my card base.

I will add a sentiment at a later date when I need a card. This card would work for a number of different occasions. I like to have several cards in my stash for when I am in need of a card quickly.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
