Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!

I hadn’t made any Halloween cards for several years, mainly because I was so busy making birthday cards for my family members. Since my “retirement” I have had a little more time to spend crafting so I was caught up on birthday cards and had the time to make some Halloween cards.

In one of Simon Says Stamp’s recent releases, they had a great embossing folder and die for a haunted house with some additional dies for some ghosts.

I first cut out the house from some black cardstock before running it through the embossing folder. I then added some silver shadow ink to the roof and steps leading up to the house. I die cut the ghosts four times out of some white cardstock. To the edges of the ghosts I added some gray ink for some added dimension.

For the background, I created a panel blending several colors of Distress Oxide ink to create a night sky.

The sentiment is from Stamping Bella’s The Wizard, the Witch, and the Caldron Chicks stamp set. I stamped it using Gina K’s Tangerine Twist and then heat embossed it using some clear embossing powder.

I mounted the die cuts and my ink blended background on some Halloween pattern paper that I had on had. I made 14 of these cards for my grandchildren and great nieces and nephews. They came together pretty quickly and were fun to make. No coloring on these cards (except the ink blending!)

Thanks for stopping by!
