Thank You For Your Service

This past week a friend of ours was chosen for the Honor Flight from Peoria IL to Washington DC. The Honor Flight is a national organization that honors veterans for their service and sacrifices for our country. There is no cost to the veteran. Many people provide cards and letters for the veterans in honor of their service which they are given on the flight. It is an opportunity to thank each veteran.

For my Thank You, I created this card. I used Stamping Bella’s Gnome Solder as the image for my card. I colored the image with my Copic markers and cut it out using my Scan N Cut.

I found the pattern paper in my stash and thought it would be perfect for the background.

I had an older die set from Stamping Up Framelets, Stars and thought it would be perfect for the card. I die cut the stars using red, white, and blue cardstock. I then die cut the smallest star from some gold glossy paper.

My sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. I die cut the sentiment from some dark blue glitter paper and three additional times from white paper. I glued them together to give the “thank you” some depth. I die cut the shadow from some white cardstock.

And one final look……

A big Thank You to all veterans (including the many members of my family)!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
