Sweet Sticks

A little something different….no coloring only die cuts!

I have been making a lot of birthday cards using my Copic markers and colored pencils. I decided to take a break from coloring and to make a card using only die cuts.

I used the Sweet Sticks die set from My Favorite Things (from their card kit) to cut out the “sweets”. I die cut the larger sweets from several different colored cardstock and several times from some white card stock to give the sweets some depth.

I used my Nuvo Aqua Shimmer to add some sparkle to the larger sweets. It is hard to see in the photos but it looks really good in real life. I also added some highlights with my white gel pen.

On the smaller sweet, I added some Silver Moondust Nuvo Crystal drops to add some additional texture.

My background is a die cut from The Rabbit Hole Designs, You’ve Been Framed. My sentiment is from Poppy Stamps. I cut the Birthday Wishes from the same pattern paper as my background. For the shadow, I die cut it from some purple glitter paper I had in my stash.

I added my images to a Lilac top folding card base and cropped the bottom corners.

This was a fun card to put together!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Crafting!
