One of my nephews recently celebrated his birthday. I know he loves to fish, so I wanted a “fishing” image for his card. I found this great image called Ricky Fishing Expert from Tiddly Inks.
I used my Copics to color him and have listed the colors I used at the bottom of this post.
Since it is a digital image and I wanted to cut the image out, I used my Scan N Cut to do the fussy cutting for me. I am so happy with the Scan N Cut. I think it does a great job. I wanted to create a scene for him, so I found some great digital paper that looked like sand, and another paper that looked like the sky. I cut the sand paper on a curve using a curvy die and adhered it over the sky paper to give the appearance of a shoreline. I found an old stamp that I had with some birds and stamped them in the sky. I found another old stamp of some beach grass and stamped it several times.
I added some foam dots behind my fisherman to pop him up on the card. A “Happy Birthday” sentiment, and the card was complete.
What a fun card to make! Thanks for stopping by!
