Ready for Retirement

A friend recently retired and I needed to make a card for him.  What better image to use but Penguin Beach Chair from Whimsy Stamps.

Retirement Cards-22

I decided to use my Prismacolor pencils to color this image.  I have listed the colors I used at the bottom of my post.

After coloring my image, I used Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Ovals to cut my image out.  I found some great paper in my stash, but I can’t remember the name of it.  I thought it was perfect for this retirement card.  I distressed the edges of the paper and adhered it to my card base.

I cut some fun foam and adhered it to the back of my image and added it to the card.  I also cut out the Edna Blows A Kiss Hanging Sign die from Stamping Bella.  I used some of the same paper that I had used on my card and then added some fun foam to the back.  I used Concord & 9th Perfectly Penned alphabet to stamp the sentiment.

I added some Blue Lagoon Nuvo Glitter Drops and my card was complete.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Crafting!

      1. I’d love to take a class. I’ve just been experimenting after watching YouTube videos. I really like the blending results using gamsol and paper stumps. I’d like to learn more though.
