Penguin Elf

I always make my Great Nieces and Nephews a special Christmas card.  This year was no exception.

Christmas Cards-13

I choose Penguin Elf from Whimsy Stamps as my image and colored them using my Copic markers.  The image was one I received as an extra from my Kit and Clowder monthly coloring classes.  I don’t believe that it is available for purchase, but there are several other cute penguin stamps available.   I made 12 of these cards, so that was a lot of coloring.

This is a digital image, so there is no matching die.  I wanted to cut them out and mount them on a mat, but that was going to be a lot of fussy cutting!  I recently purchased a ScanNCut2  by Brother, and decided to try it out.  I loved how it cut each of the images out for me in less time that I could have cut even one out!  I must say, I am impressed with the ScanNCut2.

I have some Christmas paper, but not enough of the same paper for all 12 cards.  I found some great digital paper from We Are 3, so I was able to print enough for all of the cards.  I recently purchased the Stitched Mod Rectangles from My Favorite Things and decided to use one of the rectangles to cut some paper to mount my Penguin on.  I loved the paper, and didn’t want to throw out the left over piece, so decided to use it on the inside of the card.  It made a perfect frame for my sentiment.  The sentiment on the inside is from Simon Says Stamp, Believe.
