Finally….A Christmas Card!

Well, I have finally had time to sit down and get some coloring done.  I have been so busy over the past couple of months with things, and I have missed coloring!

I finally have my first Christmas card made….yeah, I’m running behind!  This image is from Whimsy Stamps called Classic Santa.  It is a digital image that you can download, resize, print, and color.  I have been using more and more digital stamps as they are so easy to use, and store.  A big plus for me as I’m running out of room to store all of my stamps!  Yikes!

Christmas Cards-3

I colored the image using my Prismacolor colored pencils.  I have been using them more and more since taking classes from Kit and Clowder.  Her classes are great!  You can work at your own pace, and she gives you great written AND video instructions.

Anyway, back to my card!  After coloring the image on kraft paper, I wanted to keep the background simple.  I added some white pigment ink to the bottom and then sprinkled some fine glitter.  I then heat set the glitter in the ink.

Christmas Cards-4

I adhered my image to some pretty Christmas patterned paper and then the card base.  I die cut the “Believe” from Simon Says Stamp out of some green card stock and added it to the front.  A simple sentiment, but it says it all.

Christmas Cards-5

Well, that’s my card for today.  Now to get the other 75 cards done!  LOL!

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy your day and Happy Crafting!
