Uptown Couple Brett and Brenda Get Married

My niece needed a card for a wedding.  I have made her several wedding cards in the past for friends, but this was for her boyfriend’s brother.  I wanted to do something a little different than I have done before.  I used Stamping Bella’s Uptown Couple Brett and Brenda Get Married.  I have used this stamp before, but this time, a little differently.

I colored the image with my Copic markers and have listed the colors I used at the bottom of my post.  This next photo is a little blurry…sorry!

After coloring the image, I cut a heart our of another piece of card stock and then used an embossing folder to give the card stock some depth.  I adhered some acetate to the back of my card stock and then some fun foam to the back.  I added some small beads and then adhered the card stock so that my image showed through the acetate.

I heat embossed the sentiment with some Gold embossing powder from Gina K.  I love the way this embossing powder melts.  So smooth.  I adhered the sentiment to the front and then added some flowers to the front of the card.

I really liked how this card card turned out.

With the addition of the flowers, the card wasn’t going to fit in an envelope.  So, I decided to create a little “box” for the card.

I created a belly band and added some lace, ribbon and a sticker that I had on hand.

I was happy with the way this turned out.

Aww Nancee … your cards are totally incredible.
They have so much style and so much class. They’re cute, but not sugary sweet sickly. They hit the note perfectly.

GREAT MAKE! Well done you clever, crafty fingers card artist.

      1. I know exactly what you mean Nancee.
My problems come with my useless photographic skills. I’m about to build a post about a card I’ve made, and I know how lovely this card looks in real life … but do the photos do it justics? Not at all. [sigh]
        tsk tsk.
