Another Penguin with Prezzie!

Yes, I made another birthday card with same image from Whimsy Stamps, Penguin Prezzie.

Birthday Cards-181

This time I colored the image using my Prismacolor pencils.

Birthday Cards-183

After coloring him up, I used the Large Stitched Oval from Lawn Fawn.  I knew I wanted to put some color behind the kraft paper and wanted a bit more to show.  I couldn’t find the right paper, so I created my own background paper by taping off some stripes and using Gina K Powder Blue ink to create my stripes.

Birthday Cards-182

After mounting my image, I decided to just stamp the greeting on the card since I was mailing it.  I used the “Happy Birthday” from the Simon Says Stamp set Big Numbers.  I stamped it in Versa Fine Majestic Blue ink.  I used my Misti to line up the stamp where I wanted it.  I’m glad I did as the first time I stamped it, not all of the letters came out.  So, I stamped it a second time to get really good coverage on all of the letters.

I added some Dazzling Blue and White Nuvo drops and the card was ready to mail.

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Crafting!
