Another penguin from Whimsy Stamps! This one is Penguin Beach Chair. I think this such a cute image!
This was another masculine birthday card I made for a member of my family. Making masculine birthday cards are always hard for me, coming up with the right image. Penguins seem to fit perfectly!
I used my Copics to color this one and have listed the colors I used at the bottom of my post. This was fun to color and watch him come to life!
After coloring him, I used a die from My Favorite Things, Postage Stamp Stax (I’m not sure they are available anymore) to cut him out. Using the same die, I cut a mat slightly larger than my image to mount him. I really liked the look, so used two more for my sentiment. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, Birthday Flowers. I used some Silver embossing powder from Gina K on the sentiment.
I added some Midnight Blue Nuvo drops to the card and I was done. I was really happy with the way this card turned out. Hope you like it!

Masculine cards can be hard (my neighbour doesn’t even like critters!) but you’ve done a brilliant job with this one – love the way you carry the colour palette through the patterned paper and the image…

Love the beach look on this little guy. The striped paper is perfect. I am always appreciative of male cards or layouts as I have three sons. It can be hard to find masculine items that are not to young. This is just so cute it transcends age!

Some of those penguin stamps can be used for either male or female cards. I think they are so cute!
