Masculine cards are always a tough one for me. I recently had to make one for a brother-in-law. I have had this image “Old Guys Club” for some time, but had yet to use it…until now!
I used my Copic markers to color the image. I have listed the colors I used at the bottom of this post (and there are a lot of them!).
I had stamped them in a light gray ink rather than my normal black Memento ink. This gives your image a “no line” appearance. I did add a few black lines around the glasses and the eyes of one of the men, but otherwise, went with the “no line” appearance. I added some “grass” to the bottom of the image so that they appeared to be “grounded” and some light blue shading around them.
I didn’t think they needed any further embellishment, so I just mounted them on some brown card stock and then some plaid pattern paper.
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Crafting!

You mentioned that you stamped this. Was it a stamp of your own creation, or one that you purchased?

It was a stamp I purchased from Art Impressions.

Now, I noticed a difference with this image but was not sure what, until you mentioned using the grey ink instead of black. Works brilliantly! Don’t get me wrong, I still love the black outline images too. Now, the guy on the right – reminds me of the character Jonathan from Magnum P.I…..I could pretend I only know the programme from re-runs…

Thanks Gillian! That one reminds me of my Grandfather! Umm I, too remember Magnum PI…and not from re-runs. 😂

Great no-line work! And I like the variation in skin colour you’ve got… nicely done…

Your coloring is always perfect, Nancee!
Love this “no line” look, I found, that Memento ink in ‘London Fog’ works well for light outline, but it wasn’t as crisp as black.

I’ve also tried one of the lighter tan inks works well. I can’t remember the name of the color right now but it works very well, too!
