Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day!  With a grandson and 10 great nieces and nephews, I have been pretty busy making 11 of these Valentine’s Day cards.

I used one of Stamping Bella’s new images, The Bee and the Heart.  It is such a cut image and it has a matching die.  Oh, and it comes with the perfect sentiment!

I used my Copics to color the images.  I started with the color map that Elaine Hughes has created for the images.  I changed up a few of the colors for my own personal preference.  The color maps for the images are always a great place to start.

Once I colored all of my images and then cut them out, I needed some background paper.  I used some of the small stamps from Simon Says Stamp’s Paper Hug to create some background paper.  My Misti sure came in handy as I could arrange some of the stamps on my paper, and then stamp them all at once.  Once I had them lined up for the first card, it was easy to stamp the remaining 10 backgrounds.  This saved me a lot of time!  I also die cut the image from fun foam so that I could pop my little bee up on my background.

I used some of the same images from the Paper Hug stamp set to decorate the inside of the card.  With little time left to get these in the mail, I didn’t have time to create any embellishments with my Nuvo drops.  😦  Next card for sure!
