A fitting card today for my post…it is snowing outside as I am writing this post.
While my sister was visiting a few weeks ago, she needed some cards for Christmas. Since I had been coloring images all month, I had plenty of images to make into cards.
The image is The Penguin & The Marshmellow from Stamping Bella. I used the matching die to cut the image out. I die cut a second image from fun foam so that I could pop the image up. I colored it with my Copics using the color map that Elaine Hughes created for the image, making a minor change for my own personal taste.
I wanted a winter background and felt that my paper needed something else behind the image. I’ve had the Frosted Christmas Trees from Memory Box for a long time (I’m not sure they make it anymore) and decided that it would make a perfect background for my image. I added some white pigment ink to the “snowy” areas before mounting it on my card.
The sentiment is from an older Lawn Fawn set, Warm Scripty Sayings. I used Gina K Silver embossing powder on the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by!
