Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!  I have one more Halloween card to share with you today.  This is my first “one layer” card…at least I call it a one layer card.  LOL!

My image is from Art Impressions, Air Hag set.  Yep, that’s the name of the stamp set.  LOL!  Wanda and her broom.  I think she is so funny!  I love the cat’s look on her face!  I colored Wanda with my Copics.

I had originally cut her out with a oval dye, but then changed my mind and fussy cut her out.  I used my Distress Inks to create a night sky and an older die from Memory Box to create the skyline.  I had originally planned on doing this on a smaller mat and then mounting it on my card base.  I taped off my card and started inking up the background before I realized that I was on the card base, and not a small panel…oh well.  I can change my mind, can’t I?

I cut the city skyline from some black paper and then placed it over my card base.  When I had used this die previously, I traced the die on some yellow paper and then trimmed it so that it fit behind the die cut with the yellow showing through the windows.  That was a lot of work as there are some areas that have very slim borders by the windows.  Ugh!  I decided to try something different this time.  I traced around the skyline carefully with a pencil and then lifted the skyline and added some yellow Copic color inside the outline.  I put the skyline back on my card base and erased my pencil line.  This worked so much better!  No having to be so careful cutting my yellow paper and then having to glue it to the back.  If I saw some white, I just carefully added more yellow Copic marker.

I popped Wanda up using some foam squares.  I probably should have used a wobbler…that would have been fun!  Oh, well, next card maybe!  Once again, I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops.  I put the drops on some acetate and let them dry over night.  I was then able to pull them off (carefully-actually I used a think palette knife to remove them) and added some Ranger multi-media to adhere them to my card.

Well, now it’s time to start my Thanksgiving and Christmas cards!  Oh, and a birthday card in between!

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Crafting!

She really is defying gravity. isn’t she! I love the cat’s face too. I think he knows they could be in trouble! Fussy cutting her has worked fabulously. Love it. Now I have the Bewitched theme tune in my head…
