Iron Chef Chicks Getting Ready to Bake a Cake

Masculine cards are sometimes hard to make.  They all seem to have the same theme, ships, cars, etc.  I had to come up with a card for my nephew and came up with the idea of using Iron Chef Chicks from Stamping Bella.  He does love to cook, so what better stamp set!

Of course I had to color them up with my Copics….I do seem to keep going back to them a lot.  I like the look of colored pencils, but since I needed to quickly get this card made, I went to my trusted Copics.  I have had more practice with them, so I seem to feel more comfortable using them.

For the sentiment, I again turned to Edna Blows A Kiss Hanging Sign Base.  This seems to be my favorite lately.  I like the look of it when I add fun foam to the back.  It makes the sign “pop”.

Since this was a masculine card, no sequins or other embellishments.  I did, however, add Manly Chicks to the inside so when the card was opened, they popped up.  I did use my Prismacolor colored pencils to color the Manly Chicks.
